I wanted to be a police officer so I could fight the bullies and other bad guys.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Loyola University of Chicago.
I earned an Advanced Counseling skills certificate and soon became an addictions counselor. (Remember, I’m all about helping others beat their bullies.)
I became a Gold Certified fitness instructor and personal trainer, leading group fitness classes for 35 years.
I’ve been married for more than 37 years to a great guy who went from CPA to CFO to CEO of a $44 billion business. He also loves to fly WWII aircraft.
Together, we have raised three wonderful sons and now enjoy two daughters through marriage as well as one grandson. I now understand the adage that you should have grandchildren first!
We make it a priority to spend lots of time playing and praying, working out and just hanging out.
While I love being a boy mom, I also cherish being an aunt. Every year, I run “Aunt Katie Kamp” for my older nieces to teach them about fitness, faith and fun.
(We’re a family who loves to eat pheasant — in pot pies, on the grill, with noodles … you name it.)
I love sweating because it means I’m keeping fit.
I’m a breast cancer survivor.
