Leadership Presence: Be Inspiring Without Being Intimidating

“I learned that all people want to work hard and will work hard, given the right job and the right conditions, because it feels supremely good to excel.” – Edward Hallowell, MD

The older models of leadership no longer inspire other people, regardless of their age or experience. Culture teaches that we change by using the 3 F’s. Not true; we change using the 3 R’s. In this workshop, participants will learn from evidenced-based psychology what it means to be inspiring and why. They’ll walk away with a better understanding  the physiology and neurobiology of personal presence.

Workshop Heading Bar

This workshop is designed for:

  • C-suite executives
  • Leaders
  • Supervisors
  • Managers
  • Individuals who want to influence others more effectively

Participants in the workshop will:

  • Become clear about current and relevant ways to develop their leadership style and presence.
  • Learn how to catch themselves if they’re falling into the negative F way and choose the R way to be inspiring.
  • Do some myth-busting on inspiring others.
  • Understand the role of self-regulation in improving presence.
  • Explore some coach-like skills to improve presence and reduce intimidation.
  • Recall past leaders with skills to emulate — and those with behaviors to avoid.

Participants will leave this workshop with:

  • A list of competencies and skills that fit their needs and aspirations.
  • Experience using behaviors that inspire others, practiced during the session.
  • Confidence to show up like a trusted partner by following 7 key tips — and an understanding of how NOT to act like a rookie manager.
